DESCRIPTION:The School of Economic and Business Sciences (SEBS) will host this seminar presentation by Dr Nyasha Mahonye from Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½. Mahonye will examine whether physical violence during pregnancy impedes the beneficial effect of pre-natal care on child birth outcomes using comparable and nationally representative household-level data from the IPUMS-Demographic and Health Survey for selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The quality, quantity, and adequacy of prenatal care are all considered.
