CIVIS webinar ‘Reframing Cancer Research in Africa’

TACII is a newly established pan-African initiative advancing research at the intersection of cancer, infection, immunology, and the microbiome.

 A webinar will explore TACII’s approach, developments in cancer research and training at CIVIS universities, and opportunities for future collaboration.

Professor Yahya Choonara, NRF Research Chair and Director of the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Advanced Drug Delivery Platform at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ University, will present on “Development of an Exosome-Based Colon-Targeted Drug Delivery System for Infection-Induced Colorectal Cancer.” Professor Faith Osier of Imperial College London will moderate. CIVIS is a network of 11 European universities and six African associate universities (of which Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ University is the only South African institution). The CIVIS network is committed to tackling the polycrises of the 21^st Century.
