Save the date for the upcoming 7th African Philanthropy Conference (APC7), taking place in Addis Ababa.

The African Philanthropy Conference is an annual forum hosted by CAPSI and Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Business School, where philanthropic institutions and stakeholders from across the continent convene to share insights, engage in collective introspection, and advance the principles of philanthropy and social investment within Africa. This platform plays a role in fostering collaboration, nurturing innovation, and driving progress for the enhancement of the continent's diverse populations and communities.

This year's conference is titled: Philanthropy in the Age of AI and Digital Sovereignty in Africa. It will be held in Addis Ababa (27–31 July 2027), at the seat of the African Union.

The core question: Can African philanthropic actors shape AI and digital systems on African terms, through African institutions, and grounded in African knowledge? AI is already reshaping how resources circulate, how evidence is produced, and how giving happens – so this is a present, not future, conversation.
