Big award for ‘ace of the IT industry’

Professor Barry Dwolatzky honoured by his peers for his outstanding contributions to ICT sector.
Dwolatzky, the driving force behind Johannesburg’s new high-tech development, the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct, has been honoured with the Distinguished Service in ICT Award.
The award was presented to Dwolatzky at the 38th President's Awards held on Friday, 24 November 2016.
The award presented by the IITPSA in association with . According to the award was presented to an individual 'who is seen as a role model and mentor, who has made an outstanding, career-length contribution to the SA ICT industry and who has shown a long-term commitment to the aims and objectives of the Institute'.
Dwolatzky, Professor of Software Engineering in the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ and Director of , was praised for his contribution to ICT innovation and skills development.
