Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ awards entrepreneur Adrian Gore an honorary degree

Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ awarded alumnus, Adrian Gore, founder and CEO of Discovery Group, an honorary doctorate for his entrepreneurialism and contribution to healthcare.

Gore delivered the keynote address at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management on Monday 27 March.

He paid tribute to his alma mater - Gore holds degrees in Actuarial Science from Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ - adding that he met his wife at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½, his parents are alumni, and two of his children are Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Gore outlined three attributes for success: Purpose and passion - the ability to set goals and act to reach them; a sense of urgency; and the ability to be positive.

Gore established Discovery Health at the age of 27. Under Gore’s leadership, Discovery has become a global leader in wellness behavioural change and its integration with health and insurance.
