Sarah Mosoetsa is the incoming Chief Executive Officer for the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). She was previously an Associate Professor of Sociology at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ University and the Chief Executive Officer at the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS). Author of “Eating from one pot: Dynamics of Survival in poor South African households” and co-editor of “Labour in the Global South: challenges and alternatives for workers,” she has also published papers in several academic journals. Her recent collaborative works includes “Precarious Labor in Global Perspective. International Labor and Working-class History (Cambridge University Press, 2017) and “New South African Review 6 - The Crisis of Inequality” (Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Press 2018). Sarah has worked for various organisations including- the Society, Work and Development Institute (SWOP), the Human Sciences Research Council, and the Development Bank of Southern Africa. She is a former chair and member of the Global Labour University, Chair of post-graduate School of Social Sciences Committee at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ University, and chairperson of the South African labour Bulletin board.
