Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½

The Water Polo team competes in the Gauteng Water Polo Summer league and the annual national University Sports South Africa (USSA) tournaments. The club has produced 1 national athlete and 5 provincial athletes namely: Michael Stewart, Ana Trininic, Keenan van Rooyen, Scott Rosslee, Michael Klein and Jordan Eustice respectively.

NOTE: It is compulsory for all registered members to attend the swim test prior to engaging with any club activities.

The Learn-to-swim programme offers students, staff and alumni swimming lessons for beginners, the club forms part of the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Aquatics programme.

The Learn to swim program for students & Staff members is R1 200 for the year, R1 500 for Alumni members for the year.

Students can register on their student portal under clubs and societies.

For staff & Alumni members to register, they need to come to the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Sports offices and make the payment and your card will be activated within 24 hours.

Sessions are held from 17h00 – 19h00 at the Main Campus Swimming Pool every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (except on public holidays).

All you need to bring is a swimming costume (No bikinis allowed), swimming cap, towel and goggles (optional).

Once you have attended your first lesson you will be added onto the WhatsApp group for continuous information.

NOTE: It is compulsory for all registered members to attend the swim test prior to engaging with any Water Sports activities.

All registered students, staff and alumni can access the pool at a time convenient to them. The pools are open from Monday – Friday, 07:00 - 17:00 for social swimmers. The pools are cleaned from 08:00 - 10:00 and therefore will not be available during these times. Over weekends, registered members can access both pools from 07:00 – 13:00.
