Emerging Leaders Programme (ELP)
The Emerging Leaders Programme (ELP) is a three-month flagship leadership development programme offered by the Development and Leadership Unit (DLU), aimed at participants who lead in diverse spaces within and beyond the University and aspire to create meaningful impact in their communities. Having been in existence for almost two decades, the programme has continued to grow and evolve, bringing together dynamic minds in a space that fosters opportunity, growth, and holistic development through learning outcomes related to themes such as leading in relation to others, team dynamics, and project management, among others.
ELP begins with a one-week Winter Leadership Camp, followed by a structured project implementation phase where participants independently develop and drive a legacy project using design thinking to promote innovation and impact. Underpinned by Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle and guided by the Appreciative Inquiry 4D Cycle, the programme concludes with the Legacy Project Symposium, where participants present their projects and reflect on their leadership journey and contribution to active citizenship. Upon successful completion, participants receive a Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Short Course Certificate.
