Inline Youtube Video

Description

Use this content type to insert a YouTube video into your page (section). 

The preferred method of using videos in your content is from YouTube. Therefore, you must upload the video under the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ channel (Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ University OFFICIAL) in YouTube and then use a link to it in your content. Contact our social media officer who will upload and provide you with a link to your video.

How to use it
  • Select create content from the actions menu beside the section you wish to add content to. In the content types, search for “inl” and you will see the following popup.

  • Select the radio button next to Inline YouTube Video and click on Next. You will be presented with the following screen.

 

  • Enter a Name for this content.
  • Provide a Title for this clip
  • You must now provide YouTube Video ID. To do this, you must first find your clip on the YouTube website as in the example shown below.

  • In the URL, copy the text immediately after the ‘=’ sign. In the above example, the url is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w82a1FT5o88 and you would just need to copy just the w82a1FT5o88 which is the video ID.
  • Copy this text and paste it in your SITE MANAGER content under YouTube Video ID as shown in the screen below
  • Leave the Height blank.
  • Click on Save Changes to complete.
  • Preview the page to confirm that the embedded YouTube video clip is working.
