David Schneider
David Schneider (Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ LLB 1958) is a retired senior executive of The Coca-Cola Company.
David joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in 1977 when he and his late wife Dr. June Schneider, (a distinguished PhD graduate of Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½) and their two sons moved to the United States. In 1989 he was appointed as the senior executive leading the Company’s New York Corporate office.
David was central to establishing the credibility of Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Fund as a fully compliant and active not for profit organization, and for initiating active development by Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Fund among alumni, foundations and corporations throughout the USA. Under his stewardship, funding for Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Fund grew substantially raising funds from foundations, alumni and corporate sources in the U.S. In 2012, former Vice Chancellor Loyiso Nongxa conferred the prestigious Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ University Gold Medal on David, in recognition for his noteworthy service and contributions to Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½.
